Thomas M. Mead joined Ramirez & Co. as a Managing Director in the Public Finance Department of the New York office in 1997. Mr. Mead is a veteran of the municipal business. He spent 18 years at Salomon Brothers where he was the Managing Director responsible for the day to day activities of the trading and syndicate departments. Mr. Mead was then President of WR Lazard, Laidlaw & Mead, Inc. where his responsibilities included the management of the investment banking, sales and trading departments.

Mr. Mead is a past member of the Membership Committee, the syndicate and trading committee of the Bond Market Association and of the Arbitration Division of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. He also served six years as a board member and is currently a Trustee Emeritus of the Kent Place School in Summit, New Jersey.

Mr. Mead attended the Public Finance Institute of the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Providence College.
