Dominick Setari joined the Ramirez & Co.
Public Finance Group in July 2004. Mr. Setari
was previously a Vice President with the LIATI Group where he worked
on a total volume of $2.5 billion in leveraged lease transactions
in the role of lessee advisor, helping municipal clients generate
over $215 million in funds. He played a critical role in helping
the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority close the first ever
Pickle Lease - RVI transaction done in North America for a convention
center property. He also assisted the New York MTA in closing its
first ever Qualified Technological Equipment (QTE) lease on its
MetroCard fare collection system. More recently, he completed transactions
on certain light rail cars run by the San Francisco Municipal Railway
and buses operated by the Chicago Transit Authority.
Prior to joining LIATI, Dominick Setari was Manager of Financial
Analysis at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York
City where he had primary responsibility for analyzing proposals
and executing transactions in the areas of bond issuance, municipal
swaps, and leveraged leases. Mr. Setari was actively involved in
more than 40 transactions with a volume of over $8 billion, and
was instrumental in structuring and closing the MTA's first interest
rate swap option transaction, its first warrants transaction, and
in the establishment of its first commercial paper program.
Mr. Setari received his BS in Finance from Fordham University and
an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia
University in New York.
