Managing Director
Daniel E. Landon is our Managing Director in charge of the Equity Sales and Trading division. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 32 years and has a wealth of experience in both domestic and international markets.
Prior to joining Ramirez & Co. in early 1993, Dan was responsible for marketing equities at Fahnestock & Company where he also served as the International Specialist, offering foreign execution services. From 1986 through 1990, he was the Vice President and Senior Sales/Position Trader at The First Boston Corporation in their international arbitrage department. While at First Boston, he marketed the firm's international equity product to many of the country's largest institutions. Mr. Landon began his career at Kidder Peabody and Co., Inc. in 1971 where he advanced to Vice President and Manager of the foreign trading department.
A past member of the Association of International Bond Dealers, he has also served two terms as Trustee to the Board of Education for the Locust Valley Central School District ( New York ). Multi-lingual - speaks perfect Spanish, French and Italian - Mr. Landon has resided in Uruguay , Switzerland , and Africa . He received a BA degree in Economics from John B. Stetson University in 1969 and later earned his Masters of Business Administration in International Finance from Fordham University in 1976.
