As I sit down to write this message, my glance shifts to the picture on my desk. The photograph of my wife Diane and our two children, Sam Jr. and Christa have been here since the firm opened. It reminds me of how satisfying it is to watch something that means so much grow and mature.

I also cherish having watched Ramirez & Co. develop into a respected member of the investment community. Our staff has been an essential part of the company's growth. Nurturing the firm and our co-workers has been very much like raising a family. It has taken great care and patience. Since our beginning in 1971, we have expanded our products and services so that, today, Ramirez & Co. is a full service securities firm.
